ACLL 8-10s Win AGAIN in Section 4 Playoffs!

Our little CHAMPIONS have done it again!!!! In a stunning turn of events, there was no huge lead to attack!  It felt darned good to be the one in the driver’s seat tonight against District 11 Little League Baseball representative Bear River Little League. 

It started as a pitcher’s duel through the first 2.5 innings. Bear River got the first hit of the game, a double leading off the bottom of the 3rd. Another runner got a base on balls, but two strikeouts and a ground out ended that threat, preserving the 0-0 tie. Then, something incredible happened in the top of the 4th inning - our bats came alive without needing to in order to come back! : It all started with FOUR consecutive singles that were followed by two strikeouts . Seemed like they were out of the woods, but Bear River was unable to capitalize on their momentum and failed to record the 3rd out. What followed was a few passed balls….. but wait! There’s MORE!  An incredible 2 out rally broke out: a single, BB, another single, followed by a MASSIVE triple to the fence(!!!), ANOTHER single, then finally a pop up to end the inning. 8 runs in total crossed the plate that inning as ACLL batted around in the inning. The lead was ours and our relief pitchers came in to match the offense. Bear River went scoreless in the 4th and 5th, inning, with ACLL only giving up 1 hit. Our bats got hot  again in the 6th inning, scoring 4 more runs to bring the total to 12-0. Bear River showed why they proudly represented D11, as they didn’t lay down and quit. They led off with single, then an RBI double to give their proud fans a reason to cheer a little louder. A few solid infield plays close the curtain on this one with a final score of 12-1. Best of luck to our opponents in their next game. We’ve been there, too!
